Kneehigh does not need parents to do a rota duty, but any parent who wishes to stay with their child is welcome to do so. Kneehigh does not have a committee either, however the staff do organise some fundraising events in order to buy the children new equipment.

If possible could you provide one piece of fruit or alternative snack(crackers, bread, carrots, etc) each week so that we can give the children healthy foods at snack time as often as possible.

All our policies are in our Red Welcome Folder for easy access. They reflect the principles and aims of our pre-school.

ARRIVAL AND COLLECTION:-When bringing your child into Kneehigh please ensure that a member of staff knows that he/she is present before leaving him/her. Also please let us know if someone other than yourself will be collecting your child. If this is the case could you arrange for them to be introduced to us at some time or have a password for them to give us at the time of collection. These points are very important because they affect your child's safety. Please ensure that the gate is always locked when entering and leaving the premises for safety reasons.

CLOTHING:-Please dress your child in clothes that allow your child free movement, with no bits hanging down e.g. tassels, because they get caught on equipment e.g. climbing frames. As we encourage your child to develop their independence, clothing such as dungarees and belts are not recommended because they are not easy for them to remove to be able to go to the toilet unaided. Also in clothes that you don't mind them getting dirty. The children are in contact with paint, glue, playdoh, clay and water, with this in mind could you provide your child with a change of clothes, in a labelled bag, in case of accidents, and a labelled coat to wear outside (weather permitting).If your child is wearing nappies please could you provide enough clean nappies and baby wipes for the length of your child's stay.
